Objective

Guess the five-letter word in six tries by using the physical distance between keys on a QWERTY keyboard to guide each guess.

Playlin'sGuide

Qwertle is a daily word puzzle where your mission is to guess a five-letter word in 6 tries, but instead of exact letter matches, feedback is based on how physically close each letter is to the correct one on a QWERTY keyboard.

Each guess must be a valid five-letter word. After you submit, the tiles change color to show keyboard proximity. The darker the tile, the closer your guessed letter is to the correct letter by pixel distance between key centers. A black letter on white background means you nailed it.

  • You have 6 guesses to find the word.
  • Every guess must be a valid five-letter word.
  • Feedback is based on physical distance between keys on a QWERTY layout.
  • Black on white means the letter is correct and in the right position.
  • Darker shades mean you're getting warmer. Lighter shades mean you're far off.
  • A new puzzle drops every day.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…Flips Wordle's logic in a way that feels fresh but familiar.
  • βœ…Forces you to visualize the keyboard layout, not just spell words.
  • βœ…That gradient feedback is oddly satisfying when you're zeroing in.

Hint: When a letter shows medium proximity, picture the keyboard and think about which nearby keys make real words. Don't just guess randomly. Let the layout guide your next move.
