Playlin'sGuide
Magnitudle is a daily estimation game where your mission is to guess a real-world number as accurately as possible. One question. One guess. How close can you get?
Each day brings a new question pulled from science, geography, demographics, nature, or everyday life. You might be asked to estimate global heartbeats per day, the weight of the moon, or the number of trees in a country. Your job is to lock in a single numerical answer.
- Read the question and decide on your best estimate.
- Use the calculator buttons (x1K, x1M, x1B, x1T, x1Q) to quickly scale your answer up to thousands, millions, billions, trillions, or quintillions.
- A built-in notepad helps you sketch out rough calculations if you want to work through the logic.
- Lock in your answer when you're ready. No second chances.
- After submitting, you'll see how close you were and compare your accuracy against other players.
Why we like it:
- β Flexes your Fermi estimation skills, the kind of back-of-napkin reasoning scientists and engineers love.
- β Even wild guesses teach you something surprising about scale and the world.
- β One clean question per day means it's quick, focused, and never overwhelming.
Hint: Break big questions into smaller pieces. Estimating global heartbeats? Start with world population, average heart rate, and hours in a day. You don't need precision, just reasonable assumptions that multiply into the right ballpark.
