Playlin'sGuide
Letterage is a daily word game about making the most of a limited sequence of letters.
How it works:
- Start with a set of 7 letters.
- Form words of 3+ letters. The longer, the better.
- Letters can be reused.
- After each word, used letters are replaced by new ones from todayβs predetermined sequence.
Scoring:
- +1 point per letter (3-letter words = 1 point, 4-letter = 2 points).
- +1 point for each repeated letter used.
- +7 bonus points for a pangram (using every available letter).
- Discarding a letter costs 2 points.
- Endgame: finish with all letters used for bonus points,
or lose points for leftovers.
Modes:
- Standard: 60-letter sequence, roughly based on English frequency.
- Quick: 30-letter sequence, no K/Q/V/W/X/Y/Z.
Why we like it:
- β A satisfying blend of strategy and wordplay.
- β Every dayβs sequence feels different.
- β Replayable
Hint: Check the lightbulb for todayβs theoretical max score and challenge yourself to hit it.
