Betweenle

Betweenle is a daily word puzzle where your goal is to find the secret 5-letter word hidden between two other words in the dictionary.

Think “higher/lower,” but in alphabetical order.

How it works:

• Start with any valid 5-letter word.
• The game tells you if the secret word comes before or after your guess in the dictionary.
• Your guess becomes a new top or bottom boundary, shrinking the range of possible answers.
• The orange dot hints whether the secret word is closer to the top or bottom boundary.
• The number shown represents how far the secret word is from that boundary (as a % of the dictionary).

Rule of the road:

• Every new guess must be alphabetically between the current top and bottom words.

Why we like it:

Hint: Start with a word starting with M or N (center of the alphabet). Don’t chase vibes. Aim for a word that lands roughly in the middle of your current range to cut the search space fast.
